The most daunting challenge for an attorney is cross-examination. An effective cross-examination can make or break a case. An attorney must master cross-examination techniques to advocate for their client effectively. In cross-examination, the advocate is generally faced with a hostile witness who is not there to help. Traditional cross-examination techniques have focused on impeachment and little else. In this program, you will learn why the traditional thoughts about cross-examination are wrong. You will learn that cross-examination is a science to be applied. Attendees will learn that cross-examination is a skill that the practitioner can learn and effectively use immediately.

This program is intended for attorneys at all levels who want to learn techniques to enhance their cross-examination skills. This program will discuss the law related to cross-examination. In addition, attendees will learn about the traditional thoughts about cross-examination and why they are wrong. Attorneys will learn the intricacies of cross-examination and how it is a science, not an art. Additionally, this course will prepare attorneys to effectively organize with clarity to tell their clients’ stories on cross-examination.
