About The Lecturer
Patrick K. Burns is a Partner and Co-Chair of GRSM’s Government Contracts Practice Group and is also a member of the Artificial Intelligence, Commercial Litigation, and Tribal Law practice groups. His practice primarily focuses on state and federal procurement matters, including bid protests at the Government Accountability Office, Miller Act claims, and Contract Disputes Act cases before the Court of Federal Claims and various Boards of Contract Appeals.
Patrick also advises contractors on regulatory compliance issues involving the FAR, Davis-Bacon Act, and Service Contract Act, among other regulations.
Patrick’s representation spans multiple industries, including information technology, construction, manufacturing, distribution, and aerospace. A tribal citizen of the Cherokee Nation, he represents Native American tribes in government contract matters.
In addition to his practice, Patrick hosts The Essential GovCon Brief, a monthly podcast covering legal issues affecting the government contracting community, and serves as the editor of the firm’s monthly Government Contractor Update.
