About The Lecturer

Marius Domokos founded eTek Law in 2023 as a high-end boutique law firm focused on technology companies and financial institutions. Marius represents startups, global corporations and financial institutions across a broad range of legal areas, including corporate law, commercial and IP transactions, financial regulations and regulatory compliance, and litigation and dispute resolution.

Marius spent many years working hands-on inside successful startups and global corporations. Marius’ extensive in-house experience coupled with his engineering background make him a trusted strategic advisor for companies and financial institutions of all sizes. In particular, clients value Marius’ integrated counseling approach that combines industry insights, business pragmatism, technology understanding, and broad legal expertise, which enable him to optimize legal, business and operational outcomes for his clients.

Before establishing eTek Law, Marius was a partner at DLA Piper in Washington DC and led various practices at Wilson Sonsini in Silicon Valley and Washington DC. As part of his inhouse legal experience, Marius led various legal functions inside prominent public companies (e.g., Intel and Amdocs), and acted as General Counsel for fast-growing private companies that were successfully acquired (e.g., Revel Systems, Leap Motion and Vindicia). Marius has worked on some of the most complex commercial, IP and M&A transactions in the technology and financial industries, and has helped many startups to scale quickly in competitive technology segments. Marius has worked extensively with many marquee corporations (e.g., Google, Apple, Tesla, Salesforce, etc.), banks (e.g., Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Ally, etc.), payment processors and financial entities (e.g., Stripe, Chase Paymentech, Worldpay, Adyen, Intuit, PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, etc.), many other global corporations, and hundreds of successful startups.

Marius holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California and received his law degree from UC Berkeley Law School. Marius is licensed by the USPTO as a patent attorney, and is a member of the California and Washington DC State Bars. In his spare time, Marius mentors various high school robotics teams, builds electric vehicles with his kids, is training an Open Source AI LLM to replace him one day as a better/cheaper/faster lawyer, and treks across mountains with his truck camper loaded with Lithium batteries and solar panels (I hope to see you up there!).
