About The Lecturer
Tahanie attended Syracuse University School of Law. Following her first year, she clerked for the Honorable Ilton A. Tingling of the New York State Supreme Court, New York County. Tahanie served as a student attorney in the Criminal Defense Clinic where she successfully represented all her clients resulting in dismissal of all charges. She also clerked for the Kings County District Attorney's Office where she assisted in trial preparation. Tahanie was elected Intercollegiate Competition Director for the Moot Court Honor Society and was law clerk for the United States Attorney's Office of the Northern District of New York specializing in Civil Forfeitures and Drug Crimes.
Upon graduating law school, Tahanie joined the firm Adams, Sampson & Associates, LLC. as an associate and handled matters in the area of Family law, Criminal Law, Immigration and Foreclosure Defense. Tahanie is now of counsel to that firm and is the Founding Partner of The Aboushi Law Firm.
Tahanie is admitted to practice in New York State, United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
