About The Lecturer
Mr. Brown is Co-Founder and Chief of Legal Innovation at Overture and also serves as Overture’s General Counsel.
In 2023, he was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers. He’s also been recognized as a California Lawyer of the Year (CLAY Award) by The Daily Journal and Pro Bono Attorney of the Year by the USC Law School Public Interest Law Fund.
In addition to working with Overture, Mr. Brown is a founding partner of the law firm of L&F Brown, P.C. and Chief Legal Officer of BizCounsel, Inc., which provides subscription legal plans to small and growing businesses.
Mr. Brown started his legal career in the Los Angeles office of Irell & Manella LLP, where his practice focused on a variety of complex civil litigation matters including securities class action defense, antitrust, and trademarks.
Mr. Brown earned his J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where he was a Michael T. Masin Scholar and Staff Editor of the Entertainment Law Review.
Mr. Brown is admitted in California, D.C., Florida, Texas, Washington, Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, and Oregon.
