About The Lecturer
Stephanie Drawdy is an artist and attorney. After graduating from New York Law School, she received a diploma in Art Profession Law and Ethics from Institute of Art and Law. Stephanie serves as a member of the NYC Bar Association’s Art Law Committee, has volunteered with New York’s Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, has written extensively on art law issues (including for Institute of Art and Law’s quarterly Art Antiquity and Law Journal and blog and the ABA Art & Cultural Heritage Law Committee Newsletter), was a contributing author for the Second Edition of Museums and the Holocaust and has offered discourse on art law issues in collaboration with Institute of Art and Law, Center for Art Law and TRTCLE. In 2024, Stephanie co-authored “AI, Art and Copyright: Part I” that deals with AI inputs and “AI, Art and Copyright: Part II” that deals with AI outputs, which appeared in Art Antiquity and Law Journal, Volume XXIX, Issues 3 and 4, respectively.
Stephanie also hosts the Warfare of Art and Law podcast and 2ND Saturday Art & Justice online gatherings and maintains a painting practice.
