About The Lecturer

Harry Berezin is a senior associate at Goodwin Procter LLP in San Francisco, where he is a core member of the firm’s Cannabis Law practice and a member of the firm’s Tech/Life Sciences practice. Harry began practicing cannabis law in 2017, soon after California voters passed the state’s landmark Proposition 64 initiative and prior to the adoption of the state’s first adult-use cannabis regulations. His cannabis-related clients include multistate cannabis operators (MSOs), start-up cannabis companies, companies exploring the possibility of entering the cannabis and/or hemp business, and investors seeking opportunities within the cannabis sector. Harry is licensed to practice law in the State of California.

His duties also included ensuring compliance with all local and state cannabis regulations, as well as consumer data laws and California Proposition 65. Harry was responsible for keeping the company apprised of changes to relevant cannabis laws and regulations and leading the company’s efforts to influence the regulatory landscape at the local, state and federal levels.
