About The Lecturer

Lisa L. Pittman founded Pittman Legal in April 2022 in Austin, Texas, after seven years’ experience in the cannabis industry in Texas, Colorado, and other states. Ms. Pittman applies her 25 year background litigating commercial disputes in numerous subject matters to aggressively negotiate contracts for her clients and to set them up to avoid future litigation. In 2020, Ms. Pittman filed an Amicus Curiae brief against the DEA in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in support of Dr. Sue Sisley’s efforts to research the therapeutic benefits of cannabis for veterans with PTSD. In 2020, Ms. Pittman was also awarded the National Law Journal Trailblazer Award for Cannabis Law, the Texas Lawyer Trailblazer Award, and was selected by Cannabis Law Report as a Top 200 Global Cannabis Attorney.
