About This Course
This course will review the relationship between the Supreme Court and the President of the United States, focusing on recent cases involving the President, the Supreme Court, and the United States Constitution. It will provide background on the Supreme Court's current state and an understanding of how each decision is a product of the current Court’s composition.
Cases will be discussed from a legal and factual perspective so that attendees are aware of the legal issues that govern the decision and how the decision may affect future presidents and government officials. For cases that have been decided, the presentation analyzes every opinion provided by the Justices to note the differences in judicial perspectives. The presenter and the attendees will discuss possible outcomes for cases pending before the Court. This course is appropriate for attorneys and all legal professionals at any level of law practice and field of law.

- Explore the current composition of the Supreme Court
- Analyze each Justice’s judicial perspective
- Recognize how past Presidents affected the Supreme Court’s jurisprudence
- Identify the types of cases that are and are not heard by the Court
- Comprehend how cases progress from trial courts to the Supreme Court

- Ascertain fundamental underlying legal elements, including administrative, election, and criminal laws
- Analyze specific relevant cases
