Business succession is one of the most important aspects of any business, and is often the least understood, most overlooked, and among the most difficult issues to discuss with business owners. Attorneys attending this program will learn about the fundamentals of business succession planning, buy-sell planning, addressing grants to key employees, and equity grants. The course will explore fundamental tax and corporate law issues that professional advisors must understand when counseling businesses about succession planning, granting ownership to family members, and key employee incentive plans.
