In this informative and interesting course, Mr. Haberman will explain the initial terms of a sports contract and how to guarantee that the written agreement defines all of the manager and agent's responsibilities and adequately protects the interests of the agent and the athlete in the event of a highly disruptive event, such as a pandemic. In addition, he will discuss the responsibilities of agents and managers and the applicable laws, rules, and regulations that they need to be knowledgeable about. Finally, Mr. Haberman will discuss the use, potential use, and limits of tolling and force majeure provisions in promotional agreements and relationships during the COVID-19 pandemic.
