Ethical and professional duties for attorneys require them to “stay abreast of changes in the law and its practice, including the benefits and risks associated with relevant technology.” This program will advance the education and awareness of how generative AI can, will, and should transform the legal landscape and the day-to-day practice as lawyers. This program offers snapshots of innovative uses of AI in legal problem-solving, ethical considerations, and practical strategies for incorporating AI responsibly into daily workflows.

Attendees will learn about creative and innovative developments in the use of generative AI within the legal field, including AI-assisted interpretation of language and contracts. The speakers will explore case studies highlighting both successful and flawed applications of AI by attorneys, gaining a nuanced understanding of the ethical and professional implications. In-house lawyers will discover how AI can enhance contract management, regulatory tracking, internal communications, reporting, and people management. The program will equip attorneys with practical takeaways and protocols to effectively and integrate AI into daily practice.
