This course will provide legal practitioners an overview of the core aspects of both offensive and defensive trade secrets investigations concerning activities, actors, and entities within and outside of the United States.
Trade secrets investigations with international components touch on a variety of complex domestic and foreign legal issues, sometimes both civil and criminal in nature. As such, trade secrets investigations require careful planning and execution to accomplish desired objectives. This course will help anticipate and plan cross-border trade secrets investigations. Attendees will learn best practices, potential pitfalls, and common aspects and features of both offensive and defensive trade secrets investigation involving international components.
This course is suitable for legal counsel who have at least a basic to intermediate understanding of intellectual property and trade secrets law.
