This Course
Parents of children with special needs and disabilities have higher divorce rates than others and are often involved in family law cases. Cases involving special needs children possess many unique considerations. This program will discuss such considerations, including special parenting plan provisions, child support considerations, and ethical considerations. Issue spotting, best practices for parenting plan preparation, and post-majority considerations will round out this comprehensive course.
This program is an intermediate-level course intended for family law attorneys with a basic working knowledge of family law cases involving children who are interested in the nuances involved in effectively representing parents with one or more special needs children.

- Identify three unique parenting plan considerations for a child with special needs
