English is the dominant language in business around the globe; however, not all clients speak fluent English. Therefore, interpreters and translators are often necessary in order to practice law ethically and efficiently. In this course, Mr. Schreiber will help attorneys understand the differences between translating and interpreting within the legal field. He will discuss the distinct skill sets of each and how they apply to the practice of law. Furthermore, Mr. Schreiber will explore when and why to utilize interpreters, the cost factors, and why translation and interpretation quality is important. Finally, Mr. Schreiber will conclude this course by exploring real-life cases that involved errors in interpretation.
