This course outlines the basic governing principles of attorney-client relationships in sports and entertainment law. It discusses the necessary constitutes of the written agreement contracts between athletes and representing attorneys, distinguishing between individual responsibilities, limitations, and liabilities, and advises on team-building and interpersonal guidelines while working with public figures. In the course, Paul Haberman summarizes the applicable regulations and relevant proceedings pertaining to prohibited item use, attempted use, and provision implementations. Paul Haberman also discusses the necessary contract components for name, image, and likeness agreements and non-fungible token agreements surrounding ownership, limitations, the responsibilities and rights of each party involved, usage rights, industry restrictions, and compensation.
