This bundle covers all the credits you need to fulfill the New Jersey Newly Admitted Requirement.

Your requirements are:

  • 24 total credit hours 
    • 12 must be live (included in the bundle) 
      • Fulfill New Jersey's live CLE requirement with ease through our New Jersey Live CLE Days, which are included in this bundle. Each day provides 6 credits, and attending two days satisfies the 12-credit live requirement. Each live day includes 1 ethics credit and 5 NJ subject area credits. By attending two days, you'll exceed the required ethics credits and complete all NJ-specific areas not covered in the online portion of the bundle. This bundle offers everything you need to stay compliant and meet your CLE requirements seamlessly!
  • 16 credits must cover 6 New Jersey credit categories:  
    •  4 categories (totaling 7.2 credits) are included in the on-demand portion of the bundle. 
      • 1.80 NJ Family Law Practice 
      • 1.80 NJ Landlord/Tenant Practice
      • 1.80 NJ Trust and Business Accounting
      • 1.80 NJ Basic Estate Planning
    • The remaining 2 categories (at least 8.8 credits) are covered live via Zoom during any of our New Jersey CLE Compliance Days.
      • NJ Civil/Criminal Trial Preparation
      • NJ Law Office Management
  • 5 hours of ethics (including 2 hours on diversity, inclusion, and the elimination of bias):  
    • 5.4 ethics credits, including the diversity credits, are included in the on-demand portion of the bundle

Important Dates:

  • New Jersey CLE Deadline: December 31  
  • Compliance Group 1: Attorneys born January through June report in even-numbered years  
  • Compliance Group 2: Attorneys born July through December report in odd-numbered years  
 

IMPORTANT CHANGES:
Effective January 1, 2024, the New Jersey Supreme Court will reinstate the requirement for 12 credits of live instruction as part of your CLE. This includes both in-person classes and interactive online formats that allow real-time engagement with instructors.

Newly Admitted Lawyer Requirements:
During your first full two-year compliance period, you must earn 16 credit hours in at least 6 of the following 12 subject areas:

  • New Jersey Basic Estate Administration
  • New Jersey Basic Estate Planning
  • New Jersey Civil or Criminal Trial Preparation
  • New Jersey Family Law Practice
  • New Jersey Real Estate Closing Procedures
  • New Jersey Attorney Trust and Business Accounting Fundamentals
  • New Jersey Landlord/Tenant Practice
  • New Jersey Municipal Court Practice
  • New Jersey Law Office Management
  • New Jersey Administrative Law
  • New Jersey Workers’ Compensation Law
  • New Jersey Labor and Employment Law
 

At least 1 of the 16 required credits must be in New Jersey Attorney Trust and Business Accounting Fundamentals.
