Understanding the Oklahoma CLE Requirement
Total CLE Requirement:
12 credit hours annually
Credit Format:
Oklahoma Bar Association members are no longer limited to a total of 6 on-demand credits per year for compliance periods after 2018.
Credit Breakdown:
10 credit hours General
At least 2 credit hours of Legal Ethics and Professionalism, legal malpractice prevention, and/or mental health and substance use disorders
Compliance Deadline:
December 31
Reporting Deadline:
February 15
Reporting Information:
TRTCLE reports completed courses to the Oklahoma Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Commission
Newly Admitted Requirement:
New attorneys are exempt from the CLE requirement during the calendar year of their admission.
