Attorneys are encouraged to attend this program and learn about the chapters of bankruptcy and how they apply to various situations for clients. The presenters will discuss each chapter of the Bankruptcy Code, its application, and vignettes illustrating how each chapter might solve multiple business and personal issues. The presentation will focus on Chapters 7, 11, and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code, which pertains to businesses and individuals. Particular focus will also be placed on Subchapter V of Chapter 11, which provides relief to small businesses and the individuals who own them. The program aims to provide bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy practitioners with the ability to spot clients’ problems that may be resolved through bankruptcy.
This program is appropriate for nonbankruptcy practitioners who want a general understanding of the Bankruptcy Code and how it might be able to help their business and individual clients.
